Evi Moutsopoulou
Evi Moutsopoulou graduated from School of Architecture in National Technical University of Athens in 2001 and received a Master in Architecture in “Maintenance and Restoration of Historic Buildings and Sites”* from the same school in 2005. She lives and works in Heraklion, Crete. She has participated in many architectural competitions, winning major awards and prizes. She teaches Architectural Composition and Traditional Architecture and Restoration in School of Applied Technology / Civil Engineering Department in Technological Educational Institute of Crete. As an active member of the architectural community she is involved in nationwide conferences highlighting her opinion for the local architecture scene. Although she has a great knowledge of traditional architecture, she avoids imitation and tries to differentiate the new construction from the existing old parts. *not officially translated. Giorgis Zacharakis received his diploma in Building Technology from School of Architecture in National Technical University of Athens in 2002. He lives and works in Heraklion, Crete. He is experienced in construction matters as he worked as project manager and construction site supervisor in many building projects in Heraklion. He values the innovative solutions in building technology and the usability of living space. He uses the new technology as a medium to design, control, manage, collaborate and communicate his architectural ideas. At leisure he reads literature, listens to music and plays the piano and traditional greek string instruments. He also has an interest in typography, traditional and electronic. back...Philosophy
